Tongue in Chic

by Christina Dodd

‘Fortune Hunter’ series Book #2

Devlin Fitzwilliam caught Meadow Szarvas red-handed, breaking into his mansion to steal a painting. In sheer desperation, she used a case of amnesia as her excuse. But then he pulled a fast one – and claimed she was his wife. Playing along was the only way for Meadow to get her hands on that painting. But what she doesn’t realize is that Devlin has a hidden agenda too – and that someone’s keeping an eye on them both.

Review: Finished during week of April 14th, 2007 (again, sorry, can’t remember exact day!)

Not bad. The first I thought was a bit better, though. Two, very stubborn people who come together at the end (reminds me of people I know, like my parents, as well as hubby and me.) I thought he played himself smoothly, and no matter how many times he tries to break Meadow, nothing works, and he’s the one to break down. I loved it ~ usually it’s the woman who breaks, but not this time, and I liked that. Both strong characters, both stand up for themselves, as well as other people. I liked the banter between the two, and a few twists in the story adds to the ’gasps.’
